ONGOING PRIMARY SCHOOL SUPPORT FROM THE CORPORATION

The current Portreeve of Laugharne Corporation, Mr Anthony James, paid a visit to the Township’s Primary School recently to show pupils the unique Corporation chain of office and to deliver a cheque for £450 as part of the Corporation’s continuing support for the school.

Mr James said: “times are difficult for many families at the moment but the Corporation believes no child should be prevented from taking part in school activities because of a shortage of resources. It is a commitment of the Corporation to help avoid this by using some of the revenue from its land and properties in the Township.”
